In 1994, a pilot called "Friends Like These" came along. Originally asked to audition for the role of Monica, Aniston refused and auditioned for the role of Rachel Green, the suburban princess turned coffee peddler. Rachel Karen Geller (née Green) (born May 5, 1970) is a fictional character on the popular U.S. television sitcom Friends (1994–2004). Jennifer Aniston acted Rachel Green character and received Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for her performances. With the success of the series "Friends" (1994), Jennifer has become famous and sought-after as she turns her fame into movie roles during the series hiatus.

She was cast in the role and played the character from 1994 until the show ended in 2004. The program was very successful and Aniston, along with her co-stars, gained wide renown among television watchers. Her hairstyle at the time, which became known as the "Rachel", was widely copied (see also Dido flip). Aniston received a salary of one million dollars per episode for the last three seasons of Friends , as well as five Emmy nominations, including a win for "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series".
